DEE MAD starts spinning EDM in dark Parisian clubs at the ripe age of 15. Simultaneously DEE MAD dabbles in music production and launches his first studio and label in 2009. DEE MAD’s global music influence infiltrated his sound during his trips to Rio and South Africa where he attends local underground parties, discovering Baile Funk and Afro House, amongst other niche native genres. DEE MAD goes back to the studio and cooks up a fresh sound.
This new approach takes DEE MAD to Miami to be part of writing camp for a French music project
— packed with excitement and new horizons. However, his dreams quickly get crushed as the camp is canceled. Fate has it where he meets Sky Rompiendo haphazardly and starts building a relationship, leading DEE MAD to discovering Latin sounds through camps and sessions. This journey takes DEE MAD to a variety of opportunities and meeting with aligned creatives minds. As their relationship grows closer Sky invites DEE MAD to a camp in Colombia for J Balvin’s upcoming project. During the camp Dee Mad meets and collaborates with Diplo, Michael Brun, King Dudu, to name a few.
These camps and collaborations gave way to DEE MAD’s first major project releases “Que Calor” By Major Lazer feat J Balvin and “Que Pena” by Maluma X J Balvin.
In Nov 2019 DEE MAD sees first fruit of the work during the camp in Colombia with J Balvin releasing “Blanco” as the lead single to the project, following with the Album release in April 2020 with two more DEE MAD co-productions; “Gris” and “Negro”. In Aug 2020, a banger, “Pilote” by PLK feat Hamza, produced by DEE MAD makes the French airwaves spending 10 weeks in Top French charts. By November, DEE MAD is Awarded a Latin Grammy for “Colores” by J Balvin.
