Trombone Shorty Signs Publishing Deal With Round Hill Music: Exclusive

Grammy-nominated trumpeter Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews has signed a worldwide administration deal with Round Hill Music. The publishing pact includes Andrews’ catalog, as well as future releases.

Born and raised into a highly musical family in New Orleans’ legendary Treme neighborhood, Andrews earned his nickname at 4, when he first picked up the trombone. By the age of 8, Andrews was well-established in New Orleans as a band leader with his own group playing in parades, concert halls and bars. After graduating from high school, he began playing with Lenny Kravitz.

Andrews has released four full length albums, and has worked with a diverse roster of artists including Macklemore, Madonna, Queen Latifah, Zac Brown, Mark Ronson, Eric Clapton, Dierks Bentley, Foo Fighters, Daryl Hall & John Oates and Red Hot Chili Peppers. He has also inherited the esteemed annual fest-closing set at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in the tradition of The Neville Brothers and Professor Longhair.

Andrew’s most recent album, Parking Lot Symphony, was released on Blue Note Records in March 2017. His new album is due out in 2019, also on Blue Note Records.
