Alexander Cardinale Teams Up With Christina Perri For “Simpler Things”

Alexander Cardinale landed a surprise streaming hit when “Made For You” was featured in a coke commercial in 2016. The singer/songwriter returns today (June 26) with a new single called “Simple Things.” He is joined by Christina Perri on the acutely-observed track, which examines the dynamics of a long-term relationship. “There’s so much weighing on my brain and I tend to overcomplicate,” they sing on the chorus. “It’s trying to imitate a different point of view, when I get back to the simple things with you.”
“‘Simple Things’ and ‘Made For You’ represent all the things I love about modern pop, fused with the singer-songwriter sound I grew up on,” Alexander reveals. “When I found out that Christina was going to lend her vocals, I was overwhelmed, having been a fan of hers for years. We clicked from the very start, knowing this was going to be special.” The “Jar Of Hearts” hitmaker concurs. “The moment I heard ‘Simple Things’ I wanted to sing it!
