Round Hill Music Announces Deal With Wind-Up Records

Round Hill Music (RHM) today announce a strategic partnership with iconic record label, Wind-up Records. The deal covers a global administration agreement of Wind-up Records current roster of publishing, including buzzing bands The Griswolds, Strange Talk, Civil Twilight plus many more. ​

Founded in 1997, Wind-up Records is one of the largest independently owned music companies in the world. With a focus on artist development and emerging talent, Wind-up Records has become a staple in the alternative and rock worlds and has helped to break many multi-platinum artists over the years.Wind-up Records currently boasts an eclectic roster of artists from pop to rock, including The Griswolds, Crobot, Strange Talk, Civil Twilight, and Jillette Johnson.

Wind-up Publishing also controls the following acts: Bayside, Cartel, Company of Thieves, Emily Osment, Hawthorne Heights, It’s Alive, James Durbin and Thriving Ivory to name a few.

Wind-up Records’ artists continue to generate buzz across a variety of outlets, capturing the attention and garnering praise from grassroots tastemakers as well as in the sync and publishing world. Sydney based indie rock band, The Griswolds, new single “Beware The Dog” has found big fans at Alternative Radio, with recent adds at LA’s hugely influential KROQ as well as reaching the #1 most played on Sirius Alt Nation. The Griswolds have been selected as a Spotify Emerge Artist, and ‘Beware the Dog’ currently sits at #26 on the Spotify Viral Charts.

Meanwhile, fellow Australian-based label mates, Strange Talk had their latest single, “Young Hearts” featured in a 5/1 Snapchat app update, which was pushed out to the entire Snapchat userbase. The track was also featured in trailers for the new season of Teen Nick’s smash show, Degrassi, and highlighted in a global Back to School retail campaign for American Eagle Outfitters. Wind-Up Records’ atmospheric alternative-rockers, Civil Twilight have gained serious momentum, following the release of their sophomore album, “Holy Weather,” in 2012, with their songs featured in programs like House, Vampire Diaries, Alias and One Tree Hill. On the other end of the musical spectrum on the Wind-up Records roster is singer/songwriter, Jillette Johnson, whose debut album, “Water in a Whale” boasts “Torpedo”, whiich was featured on the VH1 hit show ‘Love and Hip Hop.’ ​
