Big Loud Shirt/Round Hill Extends Publishing Deal with Chris Tompkins Music Business Executives and World Leaders Gather To Celebrate Chris Tompkins

July 8, 2016

Big Loud Shirt Industries/Round Hill extends publishing deal with hit songwriter Chris Tompkins.  The undeniable tunesmith has ruled the Country radio charts with penning #1 hits for Florida Georgia Line (“Anything Goes”), Jason Aldean (“Burnin’ It Down”), Dierks Bentley (“Drunk On A Plane”) and more. In celebration of the continued partnership, BLS’s Craig Wiseman pulled out all the stops to gather music business executives and world leaders for an unforgettable toast to Tompkins.

“This fall will be 10 years of Big Loud Shirt with Chris; 15 #1s, two GRAMMYs, and a thousand beats thumping through the wall,” said Wiseman. “It has been a fun, crazy, magical, maddening, meaningful, miraculous mayhem from the first day. And, I thank God for everyday since and everyday yet to come.”

With over fifteen #1’s to date, Tompkins’ chart-toppers also include Tyler Farr’s “Redneck Crazy,” FGL’s “Dirt,” The Band Perry’s “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely,” Chris Young’s “Voices,” Luke Bryan’s “Drunk On You,” Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away,” Frankie Ballard’s “Helluva Life,” and Blake Shelton’s “Sure Be Cool If You Did.” Racking up the industry recognition, “Blown Away” was awarded the 2013 GRAMMY for Country Song Of The Year nod, and “Drunk On A Plane” was proclaimed one of the “Songs I Wish I’d Written” at the 2014 NSAI Awards.

Tompkins said of the continued partnership, “I’m looking forward to many more dice rolling, beer drinking, story-telling, cliff jumping, offensive, first class moon shining and corn dog converting good times … roll tide!”

With his impressive discography, Tompkins has experienced no lack of success since his arrival in Nashville. After moving from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, he received his first publishing deal at the age of 22 with Little House Music and started working with Big Loud Shirt in 2006. His first Top 20 single came soon after his first deal with Rachel Proctor’s release of “Me And Emily”, and in 2006, his song “Before He Cheats” by Carrie Underwood dominated the country charts. Not only did it land at #1 on every country chart and hold the top spot for five consecutive weeks, but it also earned the ASCAP Song of the Year (2007), GRAMMY Country Song of the Year (2008), and was the first country song to sell over two million digital downloads.

Big Loud Shirt Industries is led by GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter Craig Wiseman and is home to hit songwriters Sarah Buxton, Rodney Clawson, Matt Dragstrem, Chris Tompkins and the Warren Brothers. The publishing house touts 40 No. 1 songs since 2003
