Round Hill Music Signs Bronze Radio Return

March 16, 2014

Round Hill Music is excited to announce that the American indie roots rock band Bronze Radio Return will be joining its roster of talent. Bronze Radio Return is the inaugural signing of Jonnie “Most” Davis, who was most recently appointed the role as Sr. Vice President, A&R and Head of Label Services at Round Hill Music.

“Until now, Bronze Radio Return was one of the best unsigned bands in America,” remarks Davis about the latest addition to Round Hill Music. “I couldn’t be more proud to have helped bring the boys into the Round Hill brand and have them join our stellar roster.”

Bronze Radio Return knows what it takes to get to the heart of American roots music — you have to go to America’s roots. Consisting of lead singer and guitarist Chris Henderson, drummer Rob Griffith, lead guitarist Patrick Fetkowitz, keys player Matthew Warner, bassist Bob Tanen, and harmonica/banjoist extraordinaire Craig Struble, the band from Hartford, CT has traveled all over the nation — from a remote town in Maine to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains — to record their signature roots sounds.

The band’s origins started off in 2008 at The Hart School, one of the country’s top music conservatories. After writing and recording their debut album Old Time Speaker, Bronze Radio Return teamed up with producer Chad Copelin (Ivan & Alyosha, Ben Rector) in 2009 to record their follow-up album Shake! Shake! Shake! in Norman, Oklahoma where the band’s music shined with Midwestern warmth and melodies. It was during this time that the band began to get picked up for numerous TV spots and ads. Shake! Shake! Shake! produced over 50 syncs in the past year-and-a-half with highlights including a worldwide Nissan Leaf commercial and a national Behr Paint/Home Depot ad. In addition, HBO, ESPN, NBC, MTV, the CW, American Idol, ABC Family, USA, and more licensed their music for shows, promos and bumpers.

The band has spent the better part of the last two years playing every corner of the US and winning fans over with their packed-with-energy live show. Up, On, & Over is the band’s most ambitious release to date, with the first single “Further On,” being an optimistic anthem steeped in summertime brightness. The track showcases strong hooks, twangy guitars, and driving percussion and was already making waves months before the album’s anticipated release, when it was tapped as the soundtrack to the PGA Tour’s national ad campaign featuring Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.
