Nino Caccavale

Grammy-award winning engineer Benedetto Antonio Caccavale (“Nino”) has worked in a multitude of genres and styles, collaborating with artists from Ennio Morricone (Mission to Mars Soundtrack) to Burning Spear (Our Music). New York born and raised, he honed his record-making chops at the prestigious, world-renowned studio The Hit Factory. During his time there, Nino worked on a series of recordings by R&B and neo-soul artist Maxwell. Many years of working closely with Maxwell and his co-writer and producer, Hod David, enabled Benedetto to also develop and polish his songwriting and production abilities. Nino won the Grammy for “Best Male R&B Album” in 2009 for Maxwell’s BLACKsummers'night.

When asked why Nino decided to learn the craft of recording and engineering, he says, “Engineering records allows me to capture the creative concepts of the artists and writers and make them physically materialize. I also really enjoy seeing an artist develop his or her ideas from pen and paper to behind the microphone. Being an engineer puts you in the center of the whole record-making process.” In addition to engineering for major label acts, Nino continues to write and produce and looks forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Round Hill.
