February 18, 2014

Round Hill Music is excited to announce that after adding to their ‘Round Hill Nashville’ division inaugural sign Lindsay Lee, they are pleased to announce an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with songwriter Danny Myrick to their expanding roster of talent.

“Danny Myrick is one of the most talented, musical, and hard working songwriters I’ve ever had the privilege of working with.” says Vice President and General Manager of the Round Hill Nashville division, Mark Brown about the sign. “Danny has a proven track record as a hit songwriter and his talent at finding and developing young talent is super valuable. I look forward to continuing my relationship with Danny and Round Hill Music.”

A little bit country, a little bit Mississippi preacher’s kid, Myrick recorded his first album at the age of 7 with his family band in Pascagoula, MS with whom he released seven albums before graduating High School. He celebrated his first #1 Gospel song as a writer at the age of 17, where he got his first cut when the Dixie Melody Boys quartet recorded the 12 week #1 song, “Jesus Is The Light.”

After moving to Nashville and enjoying a few more hit Gospel songs, Myrick spent the 90’s as lead singer and principal songwriter for country band Western Flyer, which had several top 40 hits and critically acclaimed music videos. Myrick later began lending background vocals to artists such as Montgomery Gentry, Keith Anderson, Blake Shelton and others before returning his focus to songwriting. Eventually signing with Jeffrey Steele’s 3 Ring Circus Music/Windswept Publishing, Myrick wrote his first Top 10 song, “International Harvester” for Craig Morgan and co-wrote Big and Rich’s, “LOUD,” which was the theme song for CMT’s “Gone Country.”

Myrick went on to have numerous cuts on such diverse artists as Gloriana, Big and Rich, Montgomery Gentry and Joe Cocker before signing with Root 49 Music in 2008 and continuing to write a number of hits including Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah” and 2009’s most played country song of the year, “She’s Country” by Jason Aldean. Myrick has also enjoyed success as a producer working with various artists such as celebrated Indie artist Alice Peacock, with whom he also recorded a duo project called Myrick/Peacock and Warner Brothers Nashville’s The Farm, whose project Danny not only produced but co-wrote 9 songs for.

Myrick recently completed projects for up and coming artists Annie Bosko and Jesse Lee and is currently working in the studio on the first Nashville release by Old Southern Moonshine Revival.

2014 looks to be Myrick’s biggest year yet, with multiple cuts on upcoming releases by Gloriana, Dean Alexander and many other artists. When not working, Myrick is busy being an obsessive sports fan, doing anything outdoors and spending time with his two sons.
