Patrick Conseil joins Round Hill Music in the position of Sr. VP of Creative and International. He will be based in L.A. with frequent visits to Nashville and reports to president Neil Gillis in New York. In addition to his first signing to RHM, L.A.-based Danish hit writer/producer Rune Westberg, Conseil works closely with Jeffery David, Charlie Midnight, Lindsey Lee, Marti Frederiksen and Bosshouse, as well as new Round Hill signings Schmarx and Savvy and Jimmy Robbins.

“Patrick and I have known each other for a very long time. I have always respected his work and work ethic, his ‘ears’ and his results. I’ve also admired his breadth of reach, especially in getting so many international cuts, as well as domestic. I can truly say on behalf of the entire Round Hill Music family that we are so happy and excited to have him on board,” says Neil Gillis, Round Hill Music, President.

For the last five years, Conseil ran his own publishing company, Pure Pop Music, working with indie artist Marc Von Em, producers The French Guys and songwriter Todd Wright. Prior to that, Conseil spent four years in Miami as creative for Latin publisher Eman, securing releases with Luis Fonsi, Ricky Martin, Reik and Ednita Nazario, among others, and was brought in as A&R consultant on Florent Pagny’s first Spanish language record in 2008, which was certified 3x platinum in France.

At the same time, he was also a creative consultant for both Reservoir Media and Round Hill Music. He brought songwriter Phil Bentley to Reservoir, as well as Reverb Music UK, which the company acquired in 2012. He recently signed hit writer/producer Rune Westberg to Round Hill, and brought them the Bob DiPiero catalogue, a recent purchase.

“I have been consulting for Round Hill Music since its early days and have seen it gain a stronghold quickly in the industry. I was extremely excited by the way they developed the Nashville operation, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Round Hill team that will nurture the L.A. presence of the company and work with our writers internationally,” comments Conseil.

From early 1991 to early 2003, Conseil held the position of VP of A&R – International at Warner Chappell in New York. Some of his signings there included Moby, Swedish production team Epicenter, Roger Sanchez and Cossgrove and Clark, who co-wrote the hit “Crush’’ for Jennifer Paige in 1998.

Conseil started his career in the music industry as an A&R manager for A&M Records U.K. and is credited for signing Austrian pop star Falco, who scored worldwide hits with “Der Kommissar” and “Rock Me Amadeus.” Arte Television recently interviewed Conseil for their rock documentary series Too Young to Die.
